“The rising interest for data centres in Asia Pacific remains to expand due to raised Internet use driven by the pandemic,” says Kok Chye Ong, head of IDC Platform, Asia (ex-China), of Gaw Capital Partners.

The contracts will see Gaw Capital make a strategic investment in Dreammark1, a nine-storey IDC, as well as establish a mutual calculated collaboration with IMM Investment Corp to expand Dreamline, a Korean telecommunications service provider that handles Dreammark1 as its subsidiary.

Gaw Capital Partners has already authorized arrangements with IMM Investment Corp, a Korean exclusive equity firm, to take advantage of the Korea Internet data centre (IDC) market.

Worldwide, Gaw Capital’s data centre portfolio consists of data centres in China, Indonesia, Japan, and currently South Korea. The private equity company says that it will continue to look for possibilities to expand its IDC visibility in South Korea.
